Schedule & Results, Midget B, 2015-2016, REP (Georgina Girls Hockey Association)

Game #1 of Huntsville Tournament wasn't a pretty game and North York gave the Hawks a few grey feathers.   Officiating was not great and both teams, specifically ours made a parade to the sin bin.   Down several times 5 on 3 Lauren came up with some bigs saves to keep the Hawks in it.  

Georgina almost scored 3 times on the first shift.  The teams remained scoreless in the first with chances exchanged at both ends.     

In the second Emily received the puck with speed through the neutral zone with a tremendous pass from Beth off the boards.   Emily cut back on the defender, broke in alone and went upstairs on the blocker side.    1-0 Georgina.   

In Period 3 Mariah broke down the wing, through the puck to the net and Erin knocked in the rebounds.  2-0 Georgina.   Shortly afterwards Brit broke in on net.  When their defender dove Brit hammered on the brakes and then fired one under the bar.   Unfortunately their defender slid into the post and knocked the net off which nullified the marker.      

Georgina won 2-0.
