Notes
In game #2 the Hawks were up against the Keene-Otonobee Wolverines.
The two teams had met before and the girls knew it would be a close game. 4 minutes into the games the Hawks struck first On a girl form Natalie B where Mariah picked up the helper.
Throughout the game the Hawks had given up too many scoring opportunities and Lauren came up big. Closing out the second Megan sniped one upstairs from the slot on a pass from Brit.
The Hawks were guilty of sitting back and not all skating. Georgina went into preservation mode, got a little scrambled when a talented Wolverine decided to take over the game. With only 5:36 remaining she captured Keene's first marker, then drew a couple of penalties and registered a few scoring chances.
With only 4 seconds remaining, their goalie out, Keene found themselves in a lucky position of being all alone in the middle of the Georgina slot. No mistake was made and the game was tied.
A valuable point was lost and Hawks were now in a the unfavourable position of relying on the plus minus ratio to advance.
