Schedule & Results, Midget B, 2015-2016, REP (Georgina Girls Hockey Association)

Hawks sweep the series against Durham West Lightning to advance to the third round of the LLFHL Central Division Playoffs.  

HAWKS went into Durham with a full lineup.    30seconds into the game Georgina scored on the first shift when Mariah laid it back to Christine, who got a rolling puck on the net and Natalie B knocked in the rebound.     

They HAWKS then struggled with consistent play, made several trips to the sin bin causing them to give up the lions share of the shots.   6 minutes later Durham scored on the PP with a shot that deflected of our defence and up and over the shoulder of Lauren.

In period two, the HAWKS picked up the effort level.   Brit scored 55 seconds into the frame with a PP marker off the rebound of a Natalie D point shot. At the end of the period Haley capitalized on a nice bounce off the Lightning defender to extend the lead 3-1.

Period three was Georgina's.  Despite taking 2 penalties themselves they controlled the play.   Just over a minute into the final period Mariah capitalized on another Natalie D point shot.   Seven minutes later Megan cleared the zone and sent Davis and Brit on a two on one.    Brit and used Davis as a decoy did a little tipsy do and fired it home for a 5-1 victory.

Georgina advance to play Toronto Leaside in round three. This will be a great series.   The two teams together have a total of only 2 losses during the regular season. Georgina's only loss came at their hands when missing two players. 

Winner will secure a spot at the LLFHL Championship Weekend.
