Bantam B Hawks Have A Successful Weekend!
The Bantam B girls had another successful weekend as they closed out the pre-season.
On Saturday night the girls played host to the Scarborough Sharks at the GIP. After 2 scoreless periods, the Sharks went ahead early in the 3rd. The Hawks continued to battle hard and late in the 3rd Renee broke out of her own zone and streaked down the left wing, drew the defence man to her and then dished a nice pass to Claire S. who put a hard shot into the back of the net to salvage a late tie.
Sunday saw the Hawks travel to Lindsay to close out the exhibition season and they were looking for revenge after a season opening loss to the Lynx. The Hawks started early and jumped out to a 3 nothing score by the end of the first. This would prove to be enough despite a 3rd period push by the Lynx as the Golden Hawks held on for a 3 - 2 win and close the pre-season on a winning note.
The 22 game regular season schedule is being finalized and will be posted by end of day Wednesday Oct 3rd. Stay tuned!
