GRADUATING PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD - 2024/25
The Georgina Girls Hockey Association is proud to introduce for the first time, a 'Graduating Player of the Year Award' for the 2024/2025 season.
This award recognizes and rewards the commitment to hockey, community involvement, and player education. This award provides financial assistance to a graduating member of the Georgina Golden Hawks for their post-secondary education of
$500
This award will acknowledge and display qualities of how an outstanding young woman can excel within the arena, hockey involvement, community contribution and academic achievements.
The successful candidate will be chosen by an Award Review Committee, consisting of appointed members of the GGHA Executive. Final award selection must be approved by the President (
any Executive member that is related to an applicant will be excluded from the selection/voting process).
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current Georgina Golden Hawks player, for a minimum of 2 consecutive years
- Must be playing in the final year of eligibility for the Georgina Golden Girls Hockey Association
- Must be enrolled full time in a post secondary institution (college/university) for the upcoming 2025/26 academic year

- Current copy of high school transcript
- A letter outlining your contribution to hockey, involvement in the community, volunteer involvements and what hockey has meant to you (max. 1 page)
- Letter of program acceptance from college/university on school letterhead
- Letter of reference from your coach, employer, volunteer coordinator or other appropriate individual
All applications and accompanying documents must be submitting no later than
