Georgina Girls Hockey Program

Welcome to Georgian Girls Hockey Association(GGHA)!  We have been providing hockey programs for girls ages 7-17 in Georgina Ontario since 1994.  As part of Lower Lakes Hockey Association and the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) our programs provide girls of different ages and abilities the opportunity to learn, play and compete in Canada’s national sport.

Players not only learn to master new skills like skating and puck control, they learn about teamwork, make new friendships, improve their fitness, build self-esteem, and most of all, they have FUN!  There is no body checking allowed in girls’ hockey.  Our house divisions include Novice (ages 7-8), Atom (ages 9-10), PeeWee (ages 11-12), Bantam (ages 13-14), and Midget (ages 15-17.  No previous hockey experience is necessary.

For the 2016 / 2017 season, we are also offering REP. hockey at the Atom, Bantam and Midget levels.

The season runs from September to March.  Most house divisions typically have 2 ice times per week which are scheduled during weekday afternoons/evenings or on weekends.  There are no before-school ice times.  Special, skill development sessions are also provided to both players and goalies.  Rep. hockey will have a higher level of training and commitment.

Registration is open from mid-April to August, so please register early to avoid being on a waiting list.  To register, go to the Registration tab at the top of this page.
