Bantam B Hawks Drop a Close One
The Golden Hawks Bantam B girls returned to regular season action Sunday afternoon Oct 28 at home against the Scarborough Sharks.
The Hawks were coming off their Clearview tournament which saw them play a number of close games and try some different line combinations.
The girls played a tight game and after falling behind by 1 in the first period battled back and tied it in the second. Megan was in front and buried a loose puck from the blue ice, assisted by Claire H. The energy went to the girls legs and they out-chanced and out-shot the visiting Sharks. The girls narrowly missed a chance to tie the game in the final seconds. With the goalie out for an extra attacker, Emma tried to bury a rolling puck and sent the shot just a little high over the net.
The girls get a chance to get in the win column next weekend as they visit Etobicoke to play at the MasterCard Centre. Check back next Sunday for a game wrap-up.
