Schedule & Results, Midget B, 2015-2016, REP (Georgina Girls Hockey Association)

Scarborough SHARKS and Georgina Golden HAWKS Midget B coaching staff were hoping for an early start when looking at an open ice surface.  The last time the SHARKS were in town the teams had their game curfewed with a vacant surface after the buzzer.

Unfortunately the HAWKS were embarrassed once again in their own house when the home referees had not been booked.   With an empty pad scheduled after the Midget B game the arena staff allowed for a delayed start.  Scarborough Sharks, families and coaching staff were not happy and contemplated returning to the city and await a reschedule. 

Special shout out to the refs that did drop their plans on short notice to allow the girls to play.

After a lethargic start by Georgina it was the SHARKS that bit first only a minute an half into the game.  Georgina did not respond until 5 minutes later when Christine broke down the left wing and went top shelf to tie it up.   This sparked the HAWKS and Megan on the PP banged a goal crease scramble in 2 minutes later.   HAWKS led 2-1 after the first.

In the 2nd,   Megan won the draw to Brit, who went rink wide to Natalie D.   Nat hit the net and the rebound bounced to a net bound Brit who made no mistake for the 3-1 lead.  

In the 3rd, Christine captured her second tally on the HAWKS third PP marker followed 2.5 minutes later when Natalie D hit Mariah for the one timer. Just as discussed.

Hawks won 5-1.
