Schedule & Results, Midget B, 2015-2016, REP (Georgina Girls Hockey Association)

Georgina Golden Hawks currently in 3rd place (with games in hand) were playing undefeated Clearview Icecats. 

Hawks got off to a quick start with a strong forecheck.   Erin got the puck deep into the corner, Natalie B picked it up, rounded the net and tucked it home.  1-0 Georgina 42 seconds into the game.    Georgina continued to control the play outshot the ICECATS 15-3 for the remainder of the first.  

In the 2nd period, Georgina got themselves into penalty trouble.   Clearview developed momentum and returned the favour pressuring the Hawks out shooting them 14-1. Lucky for Georgina Lauren was again perfect closing the door and allowing no goals.    

44 seconds into the third Lakehn moved the puck up the boards to Natalie, who crossed to Mariah, who let it go cross ice to Erin.   Erin picked up the puck in the neutral zone and broke in alone going blocker side for a 2-0 lead.

For the remainder of the period the play was was equal with both teams getting 5 shots on net.   With a minute remaining Christine made an extended tape to tape pass to Davis who made a controlled shot into the empty net.  

Although the shots were similar, Georgina held more scoring opportunities and took the game 3-0 to hand Clearview their first loss of the season.
