CENTRAL DIVISION CHAMPIONS
In this Regular Season wrap up we would
like to send out a congratulatory message to all the Midget B HAWK players (in numerical order) - Lakehn, Christine, Erin, Haley, Natalie D,
Davis, Megan, Lauren, Natalie B, Mariah, Jenna, Emily, Brittany, Madison and
Beth for their successful season.
Georgina Midget B team lost only 1
Regular Season Game in 2015-16 to be the Central Division Champions; a title which was bestowed upon them by the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League after collecting 38 or 44 points. Although all Divisions are not equal, the HAWKS won more games and collected more points then all other LLFHL Midget B teams in all the divisions and should be proud of their efforts.
Our 1st place finish is especially meaningful to Mariah, Megan and Jenna who will age out after this year. All three young women are important members of our team who showed great leadership and have carried themselves with class both on and off the ice. We are proud to have you on the team and pleased you are Champions in your final season. Let’s not get too sappy, there is still lots of hockey left and things to accomplish. We will continue to lean on you!
Our top seeding entitles Midget B to home ice advantage throughout the LLFHL playoffs which should be helpful as the girls play for a spot in the LLFHL Championship weekend being held the 1st weekend of April. A total team commitment will be needed as the LLFHL playoffs kick off at HOME against the Scarbourgh Sharks this Saturday the 6th of February, 5:30 PM.
The Midget B team are also fortunate enough to get a bye into this Years 2015-16 Provincial Championships being held in the second weekend in April.
The Midget B girls team would like to give a special shutout to the parents for their encouragement, our team Manager (Lucy) for her tremendous job all season, the team staff Coaches (Derek and TJ) as well as Trainer (Krista) for their commitment and last but not least our sponsor Marlen Technical Services Inc. (Rob WOLSCHT) for his continued support.
